Nestled on the pristine north end of Vancouver Island, our Quatsino home offers a rare blend of rugged wilderness and refined comfort. Reaching us is an adventure in itself, taking you through some of the most scenic landscapes and waterways in British Columbia.
We are located in the historic water-access community of Quatsino, BC. With no road access to the village, your arrival by water or air ensures a peaceful, private stay far from the reach of the everyday world.
Most guests begin their water journey at Coal Harbour, BC, which features a well-maintained boat launch and a beautiful paved drive all the way to the water’s edge.
Private Boat: If you are bringing your own vessel, it is a scenic 20-minute boat ride from the Coal Harbour launch directly to our private dock. Our private dock can accomodate up to three boats effieciently but we have had more in tandem.
Water Taxi: For those without a boat, we recommend chartering a private water taxi through DH Timber & Transport. It is approximately $250 one-way and offers a flexible, direct shuttle to the property.

The "Mail Boat" (Budget-Friendly): On Mondays and Thursdays, you can catch a ride on the Canada Post chartered boat. It departs Coal Harbour at Noon for only $25 per person.
You can fly into the region via several airports: Port Hardy (YZT), Campbell River (YBL), or Comox (YQQ).
Our Recommendation: We suggest flying into Comox (YQQ) and grabbing a rental car. Comox offers all major amenities—including a Costco—allowing you to stock up on the bulk of your supplies before the 3-hour drive north.
The Ultimate Entrance (Float Plane): For a truly spectacular arrival, you can charter a float plane to pick you up from any of these airports and drop you off directly at our dock.

Just 15 minutes away from the Coal Harbour boat launch is Port Hardy, a full-amenity town and the perfect final stop before you hit the water.
Groceries: Restock your cooler at the full-service Save-On-Foods.
Fishing Gear: For the best local tackle and marine supplies, visit Redden Net. They are the area experts on what’s biting and what gear you’ll need for a successful day on the water.
Local Services: Port Hardy also features liquor stores, pharmacies, and hardware stores for any last-minute needs.
Pro Tip: While Port Hardy is excellent for your final fresh groceries and fishing tackle, we still recommend doing your large bulk shopping in Comox or Campbell River on your way up!
